Data Release (February 9, 2008)

The catchment shapefile and grid have been updated for the Texas/Gulf to correct the Prod_unit attribute which ties the catchments to the other NHDPlus grids.

Data Update (July 16, 2007)

The NHD component in several NHDPlus drainage areas contained extraneous data items at the end of the attribute records. These have been removed. The new data is available in files named NHDPlusrrV01_02_NHD.zip for hydrologic regions 01, 13, 14, 15, and 20.

Data Release (June 5, 2007)

New and better versions of the NHDPlus navigation tools are available. Included in the new tools is a COM object version of the NHDPlus VAA navigation tool which can be called from COM-compliant languages such as Python and incorporated into ArcGIS Geo-processing tools. The new tools are available on the Tools page.

Data Release (June 5, 2007)

New and better stream order attribute is available. Please see our Data Extensions page.

Data Release (June 5, 2007)

NHDPlus is now available by 8-digit Hydrologic Unit Code (aka HUC8 or subbasin or cataloging unit). A HUC8 zip file contains all NHDPlus components in a single zip file. Please see our Data Extensions page.

Data Update (June 5, 2007)

A data problem previously reported in the release notes for California, the Pacific Northwest, the Great Basin, the Colorado, the Rio Grande, and parts of the Mississippi has been corrected. This problem affected the cummulative flow estimates in the FlowlineAttributesFlow.dbf tables. The revised tables are contained in the Cat_Flowline_Attr.zip files which are available, along with all the NHDPlus data, from the data download page. Detailed information about this data problem are included in the release notes for the affected drainage areas.

Data Release (May 12, 2007)

Sub-Region 0318 was inadvertantly omitted from several NHDPlus components in the South Atlantic drainage. This has been corrected and new data is available for download on the South Atlantic drainage page.

Data Update (May 9, 2007)

Stream Gage Events for the Rio Grande have been reposted to correct a problem with the previous data.

Data Available (February 9, 2007)

Stream Gage Events for all NHDPlus drainage areas are available. These events provide the locations of the stream gages on the NHDPlus surface water network. The accompanying attribute table contains many useful stream flow statistics.

Data Re-release (February 5, 2007)

The data for the Mississippi drainage area has been re-released (Hydrologic Regions 05, 06, 07, 08, 10, and 11). Further information is available in the release notes that accompany the data.
